8 KEY TRAINING CONCEPTS.
Building the best athletes starts with a solid core. Why? Every movement athletes make, to include all of the muscles they need to build, require abdominal, lower abdomin, hips, obliques, spine, and back (core) endurance, stability, and strength (solid core) for optimal performance.
Form. Running Mechanics. Explosive starts. Everything your athlete needs to increase their top speed and acceleration.
Often confused with Cone Drills and other pre-planned/ fixed movement environments that DO NOT translate to the field, true agility is the coordination of the mind and body to react, real-time, to an unplanned, infinitely variable stimulus.
4. RESISTANCE (STRENGTH TRAINING).
Athletes need to be strong. And, functionally strong athletes DOMINATE. That's exactly why Soldier Up Sports and Coach Neal developed the Functional Super Rep (FSR) workout. Not only is it the safest workout for athletes of all ages, but it's the only workout method designed specifically to increase athletic performance.
Most people think conditioning is simply running athletes to death. It's not. Conditioning is the development and fine tuning of an athletes 3 metabolic energy systems specific to the demands of the sport they play. Stop letting people who don't understand conditioning over-work and under-prepare your athlete to succeed.
Athletes are required to move! Accelerate, stop, explode left, explode right, spin, dive, get back, re-accelerate. All of this movement takes it's toll on the body. And, without flexibility, an athletes body can pre-maturely break down and become more susceptible to injury. Ensure your athlete stays on top of their game by ensuring their flexibility is being taken seriously.
Not only does balance training help your athlete stay up right on contact, but it's the key to correcting muscle imbalances and ensuring your athletes ankle, knee, and hip joints aren't being asked to do the job of the muscular system.
Develop quicker and more explosive forward, backward, and lateral movements with plyometric training. FYI: Great Plyo training = Your athlete breaking more ankles!
12 KEY SKILL CONCEPTS (FOOTBALL).
Own any defender with our proprietary "Leverage Blocking" techniques. Pass Blocking, Run Blocking, Downfield Blocking, Lead Blocking, Kick Steps, Power steps, Drop Steps... everything your athlete needs to own every block.
2. BLOCK-SHEDDING (GETTING OFF THE BLOCK).
Destroy blocks utilizing our Evasive Resistance Techniques: Rip, Spin, ShivBull-Rush, Misdirection, Spin, Rip, Shiv, Darth Vader*, Draw-Fire Spin (DE)*, and more.
Stop arm tackling and missing tackles. Learn "Shoulder Mechanics" and develop the confidence to bring down the biggest, hardest running, most elusive ball-carriers on the field.
4. BREAKING TACKLES (DOWN-HILL RUNNING).
Learn how to "Get Downhill", "Keep your motor running (Drive)", Freeze+Veer+Contact+Shift, and a variety of other tackle breaking + down-hill running techniques to bring that defense to its knees and leave would be tacklers in the dust.
5. QB SKILLS.
Command the field. Own the pocket. Escape the pressure. Stretch the play. Avoid the sack. Dot your recievers. Thrash the secondary through the air or on the ground. Being a great QB all comes down to whether or not you can master 4-Dimensional play (Run, Pass, Pressure, Mobility). Don't be a one-trick pony... transform into a QUADRUPLE THREAT!
6. RECEIVER SKILLS.
Explode off the line. Fight through and separate from Defenders. Run sharper, more effective routes. Shift gears. Catch everything thrown your way. Increase yards after the catch. And, everything else you need to be the most dominant WR on the field.
7. OWNING THE BOX.
If you can own the box, you can shut down any offense. But, owning the box requires a combination of skill, physicality, and IQ only seen in the top LB's and D-Linemen in the game. Start your athletes climb to the top now! They'll learn everything from Gap Assignments, Gap Control, and Techniques to how to read, attack, blow through the gaps, and do what Monsters do best... EAT!
Lock down even the best receivers on the field... regardless of them being bigger, faster, more agile, or whatever other advantage they think they may have over you.
You can be the biggest, fastest, most agile athlete on the field, but, if you're scared to BRING IT or ready to lay down everytime they're about to bring it to you, this ain't the game for you. 10. KILLER INSTINCT + INTENSITY.
Don't be fooled, this game is 10% ability and 90% mental. Develop the mindset to dominate every play, every quarter, all game long.
11. REAL-TIME VISUAL PROCESSING (RTVP).
Read and React to the game like Neo in the Matrix. One of the toughest skills to develop... RTVP is the coordination of the mind and body to process the game mentally and respond physically, in real-time, with the correct cut, move, footwork, decision, or other on-field execution.
Athletic ability alone isn't enough. Athetes need to understand the game: the who, what, when, where, why, and how's of the game that can mean the difference between winning and losing.
